Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.
British boxer Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the pair met personally to build hype for the upcoming bout.
Ex two time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge mismatch - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Boxer's Mentality
"I'm going to break his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm superior," Joshua, 35, stated.
"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.
"I intend to genuinely try to injure him. That's my intention."
Civil Exchange
In spite of these statements, a composed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally known for his dramatics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul rather targeted ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a bout proposal.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.
Jake Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since entering professional boxing.
He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
Still, the relative newcomer continues to be one of boxing's greatest commercial attractions, frequently receiving huge paydays.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in rounds four or five and asserted he would prevent the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently in the works for 2026.
"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.
Size Disparity
As both boxers met for the customary face-off, with their size difference clearly visible, it emphasized just how surprising this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is actually going ahead.
