Actor Denies Anti-Vaxxer Views After Narrating Controversial Coronavirus Film

The "Taken" star has given his vocal talents to a new documentary that questions the safety of vaccines and praises former health official Robert F Kennedy Jr.

The Film's Provocative Basis

Named "Plague of Corruption," the film is adapted from a well-known publication published by a disgraced researcher, who became famous during the pandemic for claims that the illness was caused by a bad strain of the seasonal immunization.

The book's co-author, the executive producer, has previously authored books with controversial radio host the Infowars host. Heckenlively took to social media celebrating Neeson's role in the project.

A Firm Statement

A spokesperson for Liam Neeson have provided a statement strongly denying implications that he supports anti-vaccine views.

"We all recognize that misconduct might be present within the pharmaceutical industry, but that should never be confused with rejection of vaccines," the statement reads. "He has never been, and remains not, anti-vax. His long work with Unicef highlights his enduring support for worldwide vaccination initiatives."

The response continued that the star had no hand in the film's editorial content and that questions about its claims ought to go to the producers.

Central Themes Featured in the Feature

As presented, the voiceover spoken by Neeson includes several strong points:

  • It states that pro-vaccine voices have demanded "blind obedience" to government bodies.
  • It argues that "medical science has become deeply politicized."
  • Robert F Kennedy Jr is shown saying, "The core flaw with vaccines is that they just aren't properly vetted."
  • The narration also criticizes stay-at-home orders, arguing they caused psychological harm that resulted in thousands of lives.
  • Regarding pandemic shots, it cites a perspective that they were "hurriedly approved" and seen as "dangerous experiments."

Past Controversy and Ongoing Issues

The documentary includes a 2004 BBC documentary about clinical trials on children, which was later the focus of a BBC apology by the corporation for editorial breaches.

Last month, the political figure directed the national health agency to change its long-held position that there is no causal relationship between immunizations and autism spectrum disorder. This assertion is repeated in the documentary, even with a fresh analysis from the World Health Organisation stating no connection has been found.

A Past Record of Advocacy

Differing from the film's message, Neeson has previously voiced clear advocacy for vaccines in his role as a charity ambassador.

Two years ago, he described vaccines as "an incredible human success story," stating that "The discourse about vaccines in recent years has forgotten how much positive impact they have done... It is perhaps one of the biggest shared accomplishments in human history."

The documentary ends with Neeson's narration saying, "This marks not the end of our journey. Rather, it is the dawn of a fresh chapter."
